DATCO provides end-to-end solutions that simplify the municipal and government approval process. We create accurate site plans, drawings and supporting documents to ensure applications are complete, compliant and processed efficiently.
Every engagement ends in a package your municipality, your contractor and your lender can all work from — not a folder of files you have to translate.
| Drawing sets | Sealed, permit-ready plans issued in PDF for submission and in native CAD for your contractor and consultants. |
|---|---|
| Survey basis | Designs are built on current, project-specific survey — our own topographic, boundary or drone-derived capture, or your existing control if you have it. |
| 3D models | Where the project warrants it, surfaces and models for grading, earthworks volumes, machine control and client visualization. |
| Application support | Supporting documents, calculations and correspondence assembled into a complete submission package — and we stay on the file through review comments. |
| Revisions | Reviewer comments handled as part of the engagement. We scope the approvals process as work, not as an afterthought you're left holding. |
Our drawing production is usually the fast part; municipal review is what sets the calendar, and it varies considerably between municipalities and with how busy the planning department is. We'll give you a realistic timeline for your specific municipality at scoping — including where the application is likely to sit — rather than a number that only holds if nothing goes wrong.
Both, and the second is the point of hiring us. We assemble the complete application package, submit it, and carry it through review — answering the reviewer's questions and turning around comments. You're not left translating between a drafter, a surveyor and a planning department.
You need current site information, yes — but you don't need to go find a surveyor first. We capture it ourselves with the same crews and aircraft that serve our drone clients, which is usually faster and cheaper than coordinating a separate firm. If you already have a recent survey or established control, we'll work from it.
Regularly. Send us what you have — drawings, correspondence, review comments, whatever exists — and we'll tell you honestly what's reusable and what has to be redone. Picking up a stalled application is common work for us, particularly where the original consultant is no longer responsive.
We work at both ends — a single residential septic design and a multi-unit development get the same team. Being locally owned means we can take the smaller job without it disappearing into a queue behind a national firm's larger accounts. If a project genuinely isn't a fit for us, we'll say so and point you somewhere sensible.
